This bright and sunny home is nicely furnished, well decorated, non-smoking with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Fantastic location on a sunny private wooded setting close to the west shore of Lake Tahoe. Soak in the hot tub out on the upstairs deck after a day of local skiing or biking. Relax in the large living room with both central heating as well as an efficient and easy-to-use wood-burning stove. There are views in all directions into the surrounding woods. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to prepare great meals during your vacation. There is a large dining table that seats ten for great family gatherings.
The open upstairs living area includes the kitchen, living and dining rooms and can accommodate large groups. There are many windows to keep it bright and sunny. It features a wood burning stove, game table with a good selection of games and puzzles. The living area opens to an expansive deck with tub, new gas grill and new patio furniture. The upstairs master bedroom includes a TV and VCR and an office work area with computer, printer and fax machine.
The downstairs bunk room (sleeps five) has a second TV with satellite service plus an easy-to-use gas stove. It opens to a downstairs deck with patio furniture. Additional two bedrooms downstairs are private and cozy. Attached garage includes ping-pong, foosball and numerous bicycles for your use.
The location is ideal for exploring the western Tahoe region. It is minutes from the Homewood Ski Area. It is eight miles from Tahoe City's restaurants, shops and nightlife. It is 12 miles to Alpine Meadows ski area and 15 miles to Squaw Valley. During the summer months you can ride with your own bicycle or the house bikes to Chamber's landing with its beach, pier, bar and restaurant. Another fun ride is a trip to Sugar Pine Point State Park using the network of safe bike paths along the west side of the lake. The adventurous can explore the McKinney-Rubicon watershed by mountain bike, snowshoe or foot.
The house is set on a half acre near McKinney creek. Most of the surrounding lots are undeveloped giving this house a very private setting. The house is well-maintained by owners who are confident you will enjoy yourself.
